Below, we've answered some frequently asked questions to help you understand how YoPro can be a valuable investment in your child's future.

Does my kid really need this?
Gen Z is home to extraordinarily resilient, entrepreneurial and authentic young people but, COVID changed a lot about how all companies recruit new employees and their hiring processes in general. National education data sources show us that right now, Gen Z in the workforce are most notably known for things like; failing to pick up on professional cues, asking for unreasonable salaries, struggling with eye contact and dressing inappropriately for interviews - 39% of employers would rather hire older candidates than a Gen Z candidate.
Our extremely competitive job market demands that young people looking for internships and jobs are at the top of their game when it comes to professionalism, highlighting their value and selling their experiences. YoPro’s approach is to teach young people how to get great at being their authentic selves and to help them stand out amongst their peers in the job market. We want to help emerging young professionals break the negative Gen Z stereotypes and not just find jobs - but find jobs they love that build their confidence.

How long are the sessions?
The average YoPro session takes an hour and most YoPros take 5 to 6 sessions in a 4 week time span to cover Networking, Resume Building, Interview Skills and Mock Interviews. Our Pros are highly skilled at tailoring each session to each individual young person - we work at their pace. Our YoPros leaving us feeling confident, excited and ready to tackle their personal and career goals is our number one priority.

What’s the first step?
Step one is what we like to call the Wavelength Session. It’s like a mixer but with your parents, and a stranger, and no drinks or apps or music, and it’s over Zoom - OK it’s nothing like a mixer but it is when we all get to meet for the first time, discuss expectations, goals and get on the same wavelength about upcoming sessions. The first person you talk to at YoPro may not be your long term Pro but they will be knowledgeable, kind and ready to answer any questions you may have.
Will you find my child a job?
Drumroll please… No! YoPro doesn’t directly find jobs for young people, we are not a recruiting or head hunting agency, but we do teach young people how to gain confidence in themselves, hone their communication and professional skills and stand out from other applicants when it comes time to apply for their first job or internship. We don’t get a job for them, but we do teach them how to get a job themself.
